Persian women have striking, exotic features that are easily played up.
Their skin tones, eye and hair colors have a wide range from pale olive
skin and light blue/green eyes to darker complexions with darker eyes
and a variety of mixes in-between, but most, if not all, work best with
neutral makeup tones. It is important to pick one feature and
concentrate on that. Otherwise, the features will overpower each other
and become overwhelming.
Hair

Whether you have straight hair or curly locks, you can play up your hair. Persians are blessed with extremely thick hair--while some women with this trait may abhor it, most women would love to have this problem. If you have straight hair, make sure to keep ends healthy by monthly trims and keep hair close to its natural color to avoid coarseness caused by bleaching and dying. If you have curly hair, wear it in flowing locks. The easiest method is to towel dry hair after washing and conditioning, then add a product that helps maintain your natural curl, scrunch in product and clip hair up to dry. Release clip and use a little pomade to place curls exactly where you want them.
Face and Eyes

Along with the thick hair, unfortunately, sometimes comes thick eyebrows, but this is easily maintained either by waxing or threading, a method in which thread is twisted around the fine hairs to remove them and create a beautiful arch while cleaning up stray hairs. Do not attempt to do this at home--definitely make an appointment at a salon. Some women use facial bleach or light dyes to lighten brows, but waxing or threading will give you a much cleaner base, resulting in a more pleasing effect. Follow your natural arch and even exaggerate a bit. For a day look, use powder all over the face to maintain a matte look and reduce shine. Also, keep blotting sheets at hand. The "Persian eye" is a look that is widely used in Hollywood, but it can be achieved every day with little effort for Persian women because they already have the beautiful shape, which is similar to a wide almond shape. Begin with a neutral base eye shadow all over the lid, then use eye pencil or liquid eye liner to draw a thin, black line on top lids that gets gradually thicker at the end. Persian eyes can carry off the winged look, so feel free to extend beyond the edges of your lids. For evenings, use a bronzer on cheekbones, forehead and chin (anywhere the sun would naturally hit). For added drama, add a darker shadow on the crease of your eye to your day eye makeup. Choose either a mauve or brown shade. Then line the inside of the bottom lid and add two coats of your favorite mascara (you'll just need one coat for the day look). Last, use a neutral lip liner to line your lip and fill in with a beige-pink lipstick. You don't want to use a strong color because there will be too much going on along with the heavy eye makeup. If you have a beauty mark, play it up with your black eyeliner. With dramatic features, it is important to play them up while not overdoing it with makeup.
